General consumers are asked to visit stores and evaluate its' products or service. This method is effective in finding areas of improvement in both product and service.

Respondents will be well instructed, and at times be asked to do a rehearsal shopping before the actual shopping. This helps to keep a fixed standard evaluation, and to obtain highly precise data.
